The following is a partial list of proposed class dates.  Dates and times are subject to change without notice.  Registered applicants shall be informed of any potential changes to the following schedule.

Steps To Getting Your Texas Concealed Handgun License

1).  Register online through the Texas Department of Public Safety for your Concealed Handgun License.   The following links are provided for your convience:

2).  As of March 01, 2011 ALL applicants for a Texas Concealed Handgun License are required to have their fingerprints submitted through electronic fingerprint submission*.  This can be done at any of the L1 Identity Solutions locations located throughout the state.  In the Golden Triangle area, there are two locations which handle electronic fingerprint submissions.   You can schedule an appointment to have your fingerprints scanned at the following link:

3).  Once you have completed the above steps, you can submit a request for inclusion in any available proficiency class offered by TexasCHLLicense.com.  Scheduling can be performed at the following link:

*Note:  Your online application for a Texas Concealed Handgun License should be completed and your license packet received in the mail PRIOR to scheduling your fingerprint scanning.  This insures that you are entered into the Department of Public Safety computer system prior to being fingerprinted as L1 Identity Solutions transmits your information automatically to the Department of Public Safety application system.  Proficiency classes can be scheduled prior to fingerprint scanning.

• Two (2) Passport Photos (available at Walgreens)
• A valid Texas drivers license
• Hearing protection (ear plugs provided)
• Eye protection (shooting glasses provided)
• Fifty (50) rounds of ammunition (No Reloads)
• Handgun of choice*

* If you qualify during your proficiency test using a revolver (NSA), your concealed handgun license will be issued with restrictions which require the licensee may only carry concealed a revolver.  Handgun  proficiency test using a semi-automatic (SA) may carry either a semi-automatic pistol or revolver as their concealed handgun.  Rental guns are available at a cost of $10.00, plus current fifty (50) round ammunition price.

Driving Directions From Bridge City

 From Bridge City take FM 1442 towards IH-10.  Once you pass FM-408 leaving Bridge City, travel approximately 3.2 miles then turn left onto National Dr.  At the tee, turn right onto Westchester Dr.  4010 Westhchester Dr is the first house on the right.
