I can find no references to gays or their roles in the military anywhere in this article. Also, I am perfectly aware that gays are deeply embedded in the military, and as long as guys aren't wearing makeup or making lude comments in the showers, I don't have a problem with them. Just because someone's in the barracks with your 3 friends serving and don't actively state they are gay, doesn't mean they're not. They could be and probably very well are sleeping, showering, eating, etc. with your 3 'straight' friends currently serving.
