Ok.. this is probably going to be short, but I read a recent article in the Beaumont Enterprise which talks about the use of Tasers by law enforcement which sent me off on this little rant.
Our liberal media is really starting to piss me off. There are times when I sit back and wonder exactly who is running our government. You hear people talking and the government being concerned about companies having monopolies over other companies. But who is regulating our media. Reporters run amuck over law enforcement officials for their use of Tasers during their day to day jobs. Telling us that it barbaric and/or cruel and unusual punishment. Do these liberals not comprehend what the alternatives are to using a Taser? You guessed it, it’s a gun.
Police officers are not going to let a criminal go just because somebody has deemed their use of a Taser as inhumane. They are going to reach down and draw a much more lethal weapon from their arsenal to subdue a violent offender. Do a quick Google search and you can come up with all sorts of statistics on how supposedly fatal Tasers are. Well I ask you to compare those same statistics to those of individuals who have been subdued by the use of a handgun. Those numbers will be far more lethal.
Media personnel all over the country, and the recent article as well, all discuss the benefits of the use of Tasers, but then will throw in little statements about how they are lethal and of departments who are now no longer using them because of their lethality. How come they never praise the law enforcement officials for not having to kill someone to stop their violent behavior? It’s because if it was up to the media, we would all be sitting at home defenseless waiting on some punk to come kick our door down because they no longer have to fear that the occupant is armed.
Take away this country’s right to arm themselves, and we move one step closer to a communist government. And Tasers are no different.
