Amendment II 
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
By definition, a “Concealed Handgun” means a handgun, the presence of which is not openly discemible to the ordinary observation of a reasonable person.
Texas entered into the Concealed Handgun License club with the 74th Legislature in 1995. Though it has gone through many changes and revisions over the years, both good and bad, it still remains in effect today with over 1,500 certified instructors and over 300,000 active concealed handgun licensees.
Our Concealed Handgun Classes service the following Southeast Texas areas:
- Bridge City
- Orange
- Port Arthur
- Port Neches
- Groves
- Nederland
- Mauriceville
- and surrounding areas of Southeast Texas
We offer both initial and renewal concealed handgun classes as directed by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Concealed Handgun Classes shall cover the following material:
- Pre-Test
- The laws that relate to weapons and to the use of deadly force;
- Handgun use, proficiency, and safety;
- Non-violent dispute resolution; and
- Proper storage practices for handguns with an emphasis on storage practices that eliminate the possibility of accidental injury to a child;
- Shooting range safety;
- Question & Answer session and final exam;
- Handgun Proficiency
Note: All concealed handgun permit classes are on a first come, first served basis with a maximum class occupancy of ten (10) students.
